Women should not be driving as the practice might lead to a moral lapse that would embarrass her family and oblige them to defend the family’s honor.

Sean Ingram,

Your comment is the most sexist I’ve ever heard. Why is it that women have to defend the family’s honor? Moral lapse????????? A women gets raped and it is her fault; therefore, her family’s honor is desecrated? Isn’t it the MAN who caused the woman pain and suffering by raping her? So, why does SHE have to pay with HER life to satisfy the family’s honor? No, there is no justification for any man to rape a woman; not even religion. So, if a woman drives a vehicle it could cause a moral lapse? LOL LOL LOL LOL This kind of ignorance has absolutely no foundation whatsoever.

Who said anything about getting raped? I wrote ”moral lapse” and I mean adultery and or pre-marital fornication. As far as this kind of ”ignorance” having no foundation it is the legitimate basis of law in that part of the world to keep the morals and intentions of the people pure from western corruption and that begins with being able to control a country’s female population. Unlike the situation in the US.

PS: you are right and the comment is ”sexist”. It is intended to be.
