You might have heard about the news of Noida serial killings of children recently. Have you ever heard parents have murdered their own children to be prosperous? No! But it is true. It shows still how much superstitious we are. Parents kill toddlers for good luck in Orissa

Padmalochan Gahan and his wife Minati killed their eldest son, nine-year-old Harishchandra and second son, seven-year-old Deepak, in their house at Tilopal village in Mayurbhanj, Orissa , after performing rituals before deities in hope to bring good fortune for their family. Villagers informed the police about their barbaric act.

Both accused said that they committed the crime on the advice of a mystic Jagannath Tudu who had assured them that the children would be alive after the death of their last child and together bring good fortune with them. Afer killing their two children the couple was planning to kill their youngest nine months old daughter.

Such type of fanatic incidents show that still we are suffered from ill-delusions and seek that God will solve our miseries. It also reveals the gloomy side of India that we have witnessed an unequal development of country over the last few years. Some states are touching 100% percent literacy rate and for some states, it is still a distant dream. Merely good education can enlighten the lives of such people, who are still living in the pre-historic era and think the God can bring prosperity in their lives. We (young educates) can also remove these misconceptions by educating these people on our level.
