Pataudi near Gurgaon in Haryana is in news these days but not for good reasons. The residents from the town had attacked a nursing home belonging to a private doctor who was running a maternity home. He was found guilty to kill at least seven female fetuses.
Health department has found those uncovered fetuses during an incognito raid. This clinic was being run by A K Singh, who had no qualifications to be a doctor.
Every three months we hear news about ill-treatment of a girl child. I am amazed, why government, media and general public criticizes doctors only? Doctors are given an opportunity to do that because other people from our society go for sex determination leading to removal of female fetus. They can be your neighbor or anybody known to you. Government should also plan some punishment for people who ask for sex determination.Why only doctor should only be punished? The people who asks for that should not be spared as well.
